Hall of Commitment - #TBT to 2014

In preparation for our December 2016 Beta Eta senior graduates, we take you back to 2014 to enjoy the fun of opening the new hall to alumnae membership.

These fabulous alumnae helped usher 43 seniors  into alumnae life and through the Hall of Commitment.

This was the big group, and we always have a second round for those with conflicting schedules!

We hated for anyone to miss their last ritual event for a bit, so we held a "remix" as well a few weeks later.

Our seniors receive a carnation like in Initiation, notecards (encouragement to stay in touch and write thank you notes! #etiquette); a star bowl to remind them of the three stars on the Coat of Arms and ritual; and an electronic notebook we prepared to help them transition into "the real world", and to show them Alpha Chi Omega's relevance for their lifetime. #4lifenot4years.

#FlashbackFriday - Hall of Commitment Spring 2015

It is a joy to guide the senior Beta Eta collegians through the Hall of Commitment (formerly know as the Third Degree of Initiation) in December and April. We usually have so many in April we end up conducting the ceremony two to three times in order to accommodate "senior schedules."

These are the gifts the sisters received from the chapter along with a special brunch. Aren't they so, so lucky?

Highlighting Real. Strong. Women. for 2016

What a way to start our year:  Thinking about our 75-year member, Ms. Mary Budd Holmes

Celebrating Mary Budd's 90th Birthday! with Epsilon Tau Epsilon members from Tallahassee and Thomasville:
Linda (Gamma Epsilon), Barbara (Beta Eta), Mary Budd (Beta Eta), Amy (Zeta Upsilon, ETE President), Jenn (Theta Lambda, ETE Treasurer)

Mary Budd's Initiation Certificate and her badge:  Both items now reside at Beta Eta chapter in Tallahassee. Mary Budd donated the items to the chapter, and the advisory board made a shadow box with them for the chapter's formal living room.

Hall of Commitment - Winter Edition 2014 Revisit

Last Fall we welcomed Kelly Aller into the Hall of Commitment (used to be known as Hall of Maturity). Kelly started teaching elementary school in Leon County in January!

We love to share our ritual with our graduating seniors as a reminder to them of the lifetime importance and relevance of our ritual, and, or course Alpha Chi Omega is #4lifenot4years!

Isn't this an adorable #Pinterest gift from her #AXO family?

The proud graduate and her beau.
